Programme Overview:

This two-day programme is aligned to SAQA Unit Standard 258098 “Conduct negotiations to advance the interests of workers”. However, the focus is on generic negotiation skills and does not focus on the interests of workers exclusively; it deals primarily with negotiation from the company’s perspective and with the company’s interests in mind. 


At this program’s conclusion, participants should be able to:

–       Demonstrate understanding of the negotiation process

–       Prepare and plan a negotiating mandate

–       Conduct effective negotiations

–       Reach settlements that support both the business and its employees

–       Communication skills in the negotiating process

–       How to manage conflict

–       Common pitfalls and how to avoid them

–       How to work towards agreement
